When new foam arrives in our factory, it comes in the form of large blocks which we then convert into smaller products using our hi-tech die cutters, saws and CNC machines.
Although our design processes minimise the amount of waste created, there is inevitably some left-over foam created by off cuts.
At Riayk, we don't let this go to waste! We pass the off cut foam through our shredding machine (rather like a wood chipper) which turns the large chunks of foam into a brand new product which can be used in application such as cushion and pillow filling.
To ensure that hygiene standards are maintained, we only crumb off cuts of brand new foam.
